Our long awaited A.P.C. Denim restock has arrived and it includes full size runs of the New Standard in Indigo as well as the shop favourite Petit Standard in Indigo and the always elusive Black. Originally founded in 1988, A.P.C. has had over 20 years to perfect the cuts of their denim. These are available in shop only, so you will have to stop by in person to see exactly why these jeans have earned such a loyal following. We are also pleased to announce at this time that we will be carrying a full range of A.P.C. Apparel for Spring 2011. Stay tuned for more details.

Montreal based Naked & Famous Denim has been a shop favourite for a few years now. The brand has a winning formula with 100% Japanese sourced fabrics, Made in Canada production, three distinct cuts, and a low price that is truly unmatched. We have just made our N&F stock available for purchase online and will be adding new products from them in the coming weeks. Tomorrow we will be putting the fourth installment of our annual Custom Hand-Knit Sweater up for sale on the web shop. For those of you who saw last year’s version, you will notice some strong similarities. There were a lot of people who missed out last year, and we were really happy with how the sweaters turned out, so we wanted to run something comparable this time around. The main differences are a raglan shoulder, a plain sleeve, a different cable pattern, and different hardware. As always, these sweaters are hand-knit in Vancouver exclusively for Four Horsemen Shop.

Our first shipment of Fall goods has arrived and it’s from the historic Danish knitting mill S.N.S. Herning. The line is new to us this season, but was actually founded in 1931 by Soren Nielsen Skyt. Today, the founder’s son heads up the company and S.N.S. Herning continues to produce some of the highest quality knits in the world with designs based largely on patterns from their own archives.
Produced from 100% pure new wool and featuring all metal hardware, the weight and texture of these sweaters really need to be experienced to be properly appreciated. Our Fall selection includes three of our favourite styles: the Naval, the Fisherman, and the Stark. Designed and produced in Vancouver, Broken English is the most recent project from custom jewelery designer and goldsmith Rexford Lavado. Subtitled Novel Artifacts, the line features pendants, tie clips, lapel pins and other accessories made of silver and oxidized silver. Rex and partner Lindsay Rankin have a knack for choosing common objects and familiar images that have attained a certain cultural relevance and symbolism: a paper airplane, a comb, a chipped tea cup.
Our current selection of pendants includes paper airplanes of various size and an incredibly detailed shotgun with a gold filled barrel. We are proud to be one of the select few Broken English stockists and are excited to see the line grow.

The long awaited restock of Portland General Store has arrived. For those of you not yet familiar, “PGS is a small company that makes its personal care products by hand, in small batches, using basic and natural ingredients”.
Their shaving products, hair care, and fragrances have already become favourites in the shop. This time around we have expanded our offerings to include soap, body creme, and smelling salts. In addition to the always popular Whiskey and Tobacco scents, we now have fragrances in Palo Santo, Moss, Cardamom, and Wood as well.
